Incorrect expiration emails sent out

  • Post author:

We were hoping that the current site would stay relatively glitch free until the new site is ready. That hasn’t come to pass. The current site has started sending out expiration emails to accounts that are still active. If you get such an email, check to see if you’re still active on the site (you probably are). If you’re having any issues with membership, let me know and I’ll fix it. We hope to have the new site going soon, it has been put up to the top of the priority list with these new issues.

just got a cancellation email this morning. Checked the membership page, and it has actually cancelled me. I JUST got around to renewing, after almost a year away.

annoying shit like this is why i stayed away for so long.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience. This is new, but seems to be part of the ongoing membership glitch. Canceling just means autorenew is turned off, you will still have access for the remainder of your membership term. Once your account expires, you will have to manually renew. We are working on getting the new site launched which will fix these glitches.

Regarding cancellation, and what it means, i know all that. The having to manually re-up every month is the part that i’m not too keen on. It’s very annoying to hafta come back, and manually re-enter my payment information every month.

I love your work, but i might end up taking another break.

I understand. It’s frustrating. The goal is to have a new, stable site soon. Crossing my fingers.

I got two notifications. The first was from the dot com page all was well and membership was re-newed.
The second a couple days later from the dot net page saying expired.
I was expecting that since I had tried to join in on that page several times and decided to let those paid in dues to ride. All is good

Thank you so much for the explanation, I knew that something was amiss.
