The hyper-realism works for it AND against it. Joyce’s art and realistic facial expressions are just (chef’s kiss).
However, Bex looks like any other 6 who I might see anywhere. Ditto Mrs. Singh, who will play heavily in the story soon. Granted, we have seen only two images of her. But…

Oh Wow!! Thank you Rawls for the great late Christmas present!! I’ve been hoping for so long you would one day republish ‘The Dark Stone’ in a more updated illustrated version. This is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite series. Looking forward to future installments. Thanks again and Happy New Year!!
5 stones for effort. I know Rawly doesn’t do sequels (we hope to get that eventually from the first Dark Stone story), but I love these works & I’m a 100% glutton for this reboot. Perhaps we’ll get a much more definitive look at what Redoxa delivers beyond 11 chapters (or at least an expansion of same) that could be vastly different from the JD Seal version.
Also, Pegasus Smith left us hanging with his Repecki version. Is more of that story coming or was that the end?

It wasn’t Pegasus Smith, the creator is just Pegasus. They’re two different people. Pegasus dropped all of his online presence and hasn’t returned emails. I think it’s safe to say that one won’t be continued.

Oh shit – had no idea this was in the works. (I like to be surprised so I don’t read your monthly preview posts.) This story is #1 for me all time. Joyce is so reluctant and hesitant and maintains her motherly tone for so long in this series – makes it so hot! Gotta admit the first picture of her face in this chapter made her look a bit homely – but she got more attractive as the chapter went on. One reason I love Red is bc moms look like moms (with huge tits and asses of course!) in his art. This just made my day knowing we’re getting another rendition of this story. Thanks!

I am a bit puzzled why this story is getting an illustrated remake, I thought it was complete. So there will be continuation past chapter 11?
No, the text isn’t changing. I mentioned this project a while back. Since most of original was in black and white, people wanted a reboot. Red didn’t want to work on only one story (McAllister Method), and this one appealed to him. Thus the reboot.
I hoped he would pick back Aztec Dynasty next. Oh well, I am happy he feels well enough to work on multiple stories now, means his recovery is going fine.
Very, very nice. Like the art a lot. The story did need a reboot because black and white, the text was a little wonky and art needed a pick me up. Wish JD could reboot this but Redoxa right now looks great one thing and I know I say this a lot when it comes to all of Jds stuff when they get rebooted. Please keep the faces he made with the women. Basically the ahegao faces. That’s what makes his stuff hot and if possible the same positions. Only thing I ask. Good work I definitely want to see more.
