Emily Olmstead and her son, Lance, are shipwrecked on a deserted island. They find a strange pendant on an abandoned pirate ship. Emily his horrified to find the thing changing them, but can’t get rid of it. Eighteen-year-old Lance must confront new longings and urges. Will they leave the island before they succumb to temptation?

The explanation you saw is outdated. Unfortunately, I never received an outline from the original commissioner. At this point, I don’t expect to continue this story.
Pirate Journals of encounters with the Dark Stone mixed with the modern day effects of the same stone was just amazing in blending two stories together. I liked that aspect of this story the most.
The art work was lovely as always and felt it handled both aspects of the story well. The changing clothing of the age of pirates and the modern clothing of survivors.
