I am very excited to announce that NickEronic has tentatively agreed to reboot and finish Betty is a Pushover. Below you will see his concept for Betty. We’d love to hear your feedback.
Also, JDseal has given his blessing for this reboot, but he’s asked that we retitle the story. Offer your suggestions for a new title in the comments below. I’ll pick out my favorite.

Too cartoonist of an illustration for my taste especially for a realistic story, but what ever.
I really like her facial expressions. A good range of pleasant, reluctant, shocked, and aroused. I would like to see more hair styles. Nothing crazy, just a ‘let her hair down’ look. Rob does leave her insensate a few times after all.
Her dress is is partially transparent, will she be drawn that way for the entirety of the run?
All in all, I like the style here. I’m curious (and excited) to see how Nickeronic draws her during her pregnancy and eventually Sarah, if the reboot takes that direction again.
Well how about Betty can’t control herself or Betty can’t help herself. Not sure if you still want Betty in the title still.
How about “Yes, Son”?

I suggest reissuing the text-only version and improving the dialogue.
I think the title “Betty’s fall” or “Betty is not like she used to be”, maybe they could work.
Gotta say, I wasn’t there for the poll. I probably would’ve voted no or waited for JD. But I understand that he is busy, I just wish he could’ve at least finish it. Seeing this left me in a bit of a sour mood. i don’t like reboots especially something that looked good like JD’s work. However, if he said it was ok and everyone else said they wanted it then I guess it’s fine. I do like who you picked for this. I really like his previous work on here, so I will give it a chance but yeah still a little sad that JD won’t be able to finish this but I understand. Looking forward to more from you and your artist. Take care.
From what i’ve seen, and read, it’s highly unlikely he ever would have done any more work on this project. If i’m understanding correctly, he’s just plain burnt out on long-form work, and there is nothing worse than an uninspired artist….the results become increasingly poor, the longer the artist forces themselves to work on something they just don’t care about anymore. I’ve seen this happen with a lot of webcomics i used to read back in the day.. they either get really crappy, OR they just stop doing them…they mean to take a break, but never come back. kinda sad, really, but i can totally understand being done with something..
I don’t think that’s what it is. He is busy doing his own stuff. He has The Guid and Therapy to do and those are really good. I don’t think it’s burn out at all but I could be wrong. Plus, his work on Betty was greatly improving, I would’ve perferd just waiting until he had the time to do it but it is what it is and the people voted and JD is fine with it. I love NickEronic’s work and I’m sure he will do an amazing job but it still kinda sucks a bit. But it’s just something I have to get over.
I’m still subscribed to JD’s subscribestar.. he just did a post with his release of the latest palmer mansion chapter… the dude’s burnt out. i don’t know if you’re still subbed over there, but if you are, go check it out. You can see he just ain’t feeling the long-form stuff anymore.
Yeah just re read it. My bad. I misunderstood. Yeah he is burnt out, makes sense since he’s been doing this for a long time. Hopefully he comes back and works on one of the shorter stories.
JDseal really wants to work on his own stories, specifically comics. Having him finish this story wasn’t an option.
After Betty’s son won the lottery, coupled with his father’s life insurance payout, Betty and her son & their kids live in a nice home with a new life.
Wasn’t it already done? I mean, i like new content and all, but i kinda liked it the way it was.. -shrug-

The story wasn’t ever finished by JDseal, there are a couple of unillustrated chapters. A while ago readers had a vote on how to handle it, and they voted to reboot the series with a new artist. So that’s what we’re doing 🙂

As you know, i archive everything, so i still have the originals, lol. I do like new content….and this fella’s art looks nice. I’m sure it’ll be good.
