Now that Mothership is complete, I’d like to check in and see what your favorite novels are. This poll only includes novels of twenty chapters or more. Let me know what you think!
It’s gotta be Mothership Wilderness. The main character was actually way more interesting than the others, even if it did meander a bit in the middle. I guess I just prefer morally grey stories.
Enki’s Puzzle was the easy pick; it’s brilliant. The other pick was remarkable difficult as it, for me at least, was really a multi way tie. I voted for Palmer Mansion, but could just as easily have voted for three others.
The novels start off with some kind of really interesting puzzle or mystery, but Rawls either loses interest in it by chapter 15 or decides that it distracts from the sex too much, so just has 10 chapters of meandering before he wraps it up unconvincingly. Why did the mothership inject Jacob? What was the aliens intent in DDTW? Anxious to get some answers in Enki’s Puzzle.
Um … yeah. I’m going to have to disagree with you on that, lol. I work really hard on each novel. If it doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t work. But you don’t need to guess at my motivations.
Mothership Wilderness got off to a really strong start, imo, but fizzled when there was no real conflict and Jacob’s harem kept expanding infinitely. There’s value in keeping a story tight with fewer characters but more development, like Enki’s Puzzle. Only there too we seem to be adding more women as the story drags on.
Sometimes I want to see people get their comeuppance, eg, Wilderness, I’d have liked the ship to have been destroyed, sabotaged and left adrift for ever, or for someone to have created a cure and deal with what’s happened, including one of the husbands killing the messiah.
I love them all. But I’m a little disappointed by Water’s ending. And I haven’t started The Wicked Tower yet, as the beginning of that story is harder to get past than the others.
Palmer Mansion and Enki are my favorite’s for sure, but The Dark Stone and Serum 42xxl rank really high as well for me, as they were my introduction to you. 🙂
mothership and there is something in the water. i guess i like bad guys in the lead roles and looks like i am minority

Thanks 🙂 Those were my two votes too.

Never fear, Maggie is there for a reason. She’s not just another conquest.

Sometimes that happens. Sometimes the bad guys win ?
Palmer Mansion and Enki are my favorites, but Wicked Tower is REALLY good. You just have to get past the first two chapters and then it takes off.
Thanks! This is interesting feedback. I’ll have to go back and reread the first two chapters.
