We’ll be wrapping up Mothership in maybe three or four more chapters. That means I’ll start a new main novel after that. I’d like to start planning it in advance, so it’s now time to settle on a story.
I have two ideas in mind that I would like to write. One is a family that inherits a haunted painting of the Palmer family. The mom hangs the painting in her home office, and things slowly devolve from there. The other story I had in mind is about a son that tries to follow The Guide, but fails. It is VERY awkward with his mom after that. But slowly, she starts to think things over. She can’t stand to see how crushed he is, and she initiates things.
Those are my ideas. What are some of yours? Pitch me your idea for a full-length novel. Keep your pitch to THIRTY words or less in the comments below. We’ll hold two rounds of voting. The first will select the top two ideas. The second poll will put those two along with my two ideas and will select the winner.
